The basic training style that Masters uses is the positive reinforcement approach. This technique is the most efficient and successful among dog training. Masters provides and offers the following training programs
In-Kennel Obedience Training
Includes Basic Obedience Training, boarding, personal trainer everyday, and private lessons with the trainer.
Pets must have rabies vaccine before they may do this program. See boarding to see what is necessary for a pet to board at Masters.
Price depends on the age and temperament of the dogs and not specific to the breed.

Send home Private Lesson: The staff at Masters calls the owners and sets up a time that is convenient to both the trainer and owner to have a lesson for an hour to hour and half. During this lesson the trainer will talk to you about your pets training program, demonstrate dog know his commands, and show you how to ensure this behavior at home. *These lessons do not take place on the weekends*
Follow Up Private Lesson: Two weeks after the send home. The trainer meets up to ensure that both the pet and owner are doing well with the training and make any improvements that may need to be made before starting on distance control. *These lessons do not take place on the weekends*

This class is for those who prefer to work one-on-one with a trainer. These lessons are taught Monday- Friday during business hours.
We can focus on puppy training, competition obedience, agility, tracking, Good Citizen evaluations, or behavioral problems.

Beginning Basic Obedience Class
This class is commonly referred to as "Puppy Kindergarten." It is a 6 week course for the dog (regardless of age) and owner who need to learn the fundamentals of K-9 behavior & Basic Obedience.
A new class starts about every 8 weeks. They are normally conducted on Saturday mornings from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.

You will receive an email notifying you that we have received your request and the approximate start date of the next class. The trainer will then call you at least a week before the class begins for registration.
We cover the history and natural behaviors of dogs to help owners understand how the training techniques used are effective. This helps the owners in approaching housebreaking, manners, and behavioral problems as we incorporate obedience commands. These commands include heel - sit - stay - come when called - report to front - finish and return to heel position - down - re-sit - and stand.
There is a graduation on the 6th lesson with a certificate.
Advanced Obedience and Agility Class
This class is for anyone who is looking to further their dog's performance and education. Class is usually taught on Saturday mornings from 9:00 am- 11:00 am.
This class focuses on; off-leash work - precision heeling - distance - distractions - jumping - retrieving - and agility work.
Dogs and owners wishing to do this class must have done the Basic Obedience class or equivalent training.
Equivalent training must be evaluated in a private lesson before class registration.
